Man stabbed to death in Batangas

TAAL, Batangas â€“ A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in Barangay Halang, this town, on Thursday night, Nov. 14.

Police identified the victim as Jimuel R. Soriano.

Investigation said Soriano and companion Maricar Diotay, 20, were walking on a street when the suspect Rodel, 36, married, appeared and confronted Soriano.

The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him in different parts of the body.

Diotay moved away from the suspect but she too was stabbed in the wrist.

The victims were taken to a hospital in Lemery, Batangas where Soriano was declared dead.

Police nabbed the suspect in a follow-up operation and faces appropriate cases.
