Man dies as motorcycle rams multi-cab in San Carlos City


BACOLOD CITY – A 57-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was driving rammed a multi-cab in Barangay 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Nov. 14.

San Carlos City Police Station deputy chief Police Major Ryan Villasario identified the victim as Molito of Barangay 1, San Carlos City.

Villasario said the victim was tailing two vehicles on his way home when he allegedly overtook on the right side. The victim failed to notice and crashed into the multi-cab.

Molito was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead from severe chest injuries.

The victim's family told police that he had a vision problem that might have contributed to the accident.

The victim’s family and the 44-year-old multi-cab driver have reached an initial settlement and the latter was released from police custody on Friday, Nov. 15.
