Man yields P204,000 shabu in Taguig

A 49-year-old man was arrested by the police after he yielded P204,000 worth of suspected shabu in Taguig on Nov. 13.

The illegal drugs were discovered when operatives from the Taguig Police Substation 4 implemented a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against the suspect, identified as alias Armando, in Barangay Ususan.

The search warrant was issued and signed by Executive Judge Loralie Datahan of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69.

Seized from the suspect were nine plastic sachets containing 30 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), a black box, a lighter, a pack of transparent plastic sachets, and a weighing scale.

Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang, district director of the Southern Police District (SPD), commended the police operatives for the implementation of the search warrant.

"We remain relentless in our efforts to rid our communities of illegal drugs. This operation is another step toward ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens. We will continue to work tirelessly in collaboration with the judiciary to rid our streets of drug-related crimes," he said.
