Man beats uncle to death with bamboo pole

SAN VICENTE, Ilocos Sur â€“ A 55-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his nephew with a bamboo pole during a heated altercation in Barangay Bantaoay here on Tuesday evening, Nov. 12.

Police identified the victim as Mario U. Rebullo.

Investigation said the victim went to the house of the suspect, Eddie B. Rebullo, 42, drunk, triggering a heated altercation where Mario allegedly challenged Eddie to get out and fight each other to the death.

Eddie later on went to the house of the victim who was sitting and hit him in the head with a bamboo pole thrice. The victim died on the spot.

The body of the victim was discovered in the premises of his house early Wednesday morning.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation and pursuing Eddie.
