Former president Rodrigo Duterte has seemingly advised his own daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte to face House investigation on her alleged misuse of millions worth of confidential funds.
The father and daughter duo was present Wednesday, Nov. 13 during the 11th quad-comm hearing at the House of Representatives in Batasan, Quezon City.
However, only the elder Duterte was the subject of the quad-comm probe on the war on drugs; the Vice President was merely there for moral support.
After 13 hours of answering questions under oath from congressmen, Duterte emerged from the hearing to give a chance interview to House reporters.
He was asked if he would urge his daughter to do the same; that is, to attend House hearing and take her oath in an inquiry.
"Palagay ko naman, kung ano yung natutunan niya sakin, ganun rin yung gawin niya (I think, whatever she learned from me, she should apply that as well)," the ex-president said.
Assuming that he meant facing the House inquiry--just like he did--then the ball is in Vice President Duterte's court.
The lady official left House premises just minutes ahead of her father. She was no longer around at the time of her dad's interview.
The Manila 3rd district Rep. Joel Chua-chaired House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability is probing the confidential funds controversy involving Vice President Duterte--the second highest-ranked official of the land.

During Wednesday's hearing, the committee secretary of the good government panel approached Vice President Duterte and handed her an invite to the panel’s upcoming hearing on Nov. 20. The latter signed the invite as "received".
Out of the five hearings of the Chua panel so far, the Vice President has only attended the first hearing, wherein she refused to take her oath.
