Western Visayas' fifth most wanted caught in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY – Police nabbed the fifth most wanted person in Western Visayas region in Bingawan town, Iloilo province on Monday, Nov. 12.

The suspect, Rud, was caught by a tracker team of the Bingawan Municipal Police Station with the Provincial Intelligence Unit and the 62nd Special Action Company of the 6th Special Action Battalion-Special Action Force as backups.

Rud was arrested for rape by carnal knowledge and rape through sexual assault.

The suspect was nabbed on a warrant dated April 25, 2023.

Police Col. Bayani Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, lauded operating units.

“This successful operation is a testament to our efforts to uphold justice and public safety across the province. We will continue to work tirelessly to serve and protect our community,” said Razalan.
