Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards

Last Saturday, I was stuck in a car for two hours in Cebu, even though the ride was supposed to take only 10 minutes. I asked the driver if the traffic in Cebu City was this bad because it felt worse than Metro Manila on a typhoon day - take note that it was a sunny day with clear skies in Cebu. The driver answered, “May mall show po kasi sina Kathryn Bernardo at si Alden Richards diyan sa Sm City J Mall ngayon, tapos tatalon sila sa SM City Seaside tapos SM City Cebu naman.” (Kathryn and Alden (KathDen) have three back-to-back shows in Cebu right now: SM City J Mall, then SM City Seaside, and finally finishing in SM City Cebu.)

This is how popular KathDen is in Cebu. They were causing major traffic. I contacted Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia to ask if she could send me some pictures and videos so I could write about them, and she immediately sent me after their shows.

After watching the videos, I can safely say that there is no doubt, hands down, that the KathDen love team is the most famous in the Philippines today. The fans screamed every time Kathryn and Alden spoke and sang; everything was already inaudible. All you could hear were the screams and the shouts of the fans.

At SM Seaside Cebu Kathryn tells her fans, “Im so happy nakabalik kami sa Cebu para makita kayong lahat.” To the delight of her fans. KathDen then sang, “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw," "Ikaw" at "Ako at Huling Sandali," their theme song for the movie they are promoting "Hello, Love, Again," the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster hit "Hello, Love, Goodbye."

If you are a fan and are planning to watch, I suggest booking your tickets in advance because there is a strong chance that if you purchase your ticket on the day you are watching in the ticket booth, chances are there are no more tickets left. In Cebu City, the tickets were sold out after the KathDen love team stayed for a few minutes in the SM ticket booths to check on their movie sales. I am 100 percent sure SM Cebu will be extending its run for “Hello, Love, Again.''

Watching the videos, I could see how Alden would protect Kathryn and hold her hand so she wouldn’t miss a step. Looking at the onscreen couple, you cannot help but have that “kilig” feeling watching them. So I tell you both Kath and Alden,  as your Ate Giselle, this is my advice to you - Ituloy na yang love team! Totohanan na, please! Make it real! You guys look perfect for each other!

I am excited about this collaboration of GMA Pictures and Star Cinema's "Hello, Love, Again,” directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana. Alden sent a message to all my readers here in Manila Bulletin: “To all Kapuso at Kapamilya readers of Manila Bulletin, I hope you can watch 'Hello, Love, Again’ because it’s a great film. I am honored to work with such an amazing actress like Kat. She is a beautiful soul inside and out.” The film is showing in Philippine cinemas today, Nov. 13. Book your tickets in advance. The Filipino movie will also be released in North Americathe Middle East, and Asia Pacific movie theaters. In addition, "Hello, Love, Again" will screen at the Asian World Film Festival 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
