Cordillera cops net P8.2-M shabu, marijuana

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ The Police Regional Office-Cordillera confiscated shabu and marijuana valued at P8.2 million and arrested 12 suspected drug pushers from Nov. 4 to 10.

PRP-Cordillera chief Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr. said the police conducted 25 anti-illegal drug operations across the region where 36,625 fully grown marijuana plants, 13,125 marijuana seedlings, 0.70 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, three milliliters of marijuana oil, and 53.34 grams of suspected shabu were recovered.

Seven of those apprehended were high-value individuals and five were street-level individuals.

The Benguet Police Provincial Office seized illegal drugs valued at P6.6 million, the Kalinga PPO destroyed marijuana plants worth P1.5 million, the Baguio City Police Office recovered suspected shabu valued at P23,884, the Ifugao PPO confiscated illegal drugs worth P17,884, and the Abra PPO, P5,440 worth of suspected shabu.
