60-year-old pedestrian dies after being hit by motorcycle in Sta. Ana, Manila

A 60-year-old man was declared dead on the spot after he was hit by a motorcycle rider in Sta. Ana, Manila, on Sunday night, November 10.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the 21-year-old motorcycle rider as Jiohan Co, resident of Pasig City.
Police said the suspect’s back-ride passenger identified as Claire Ann Diga, 21, resident of Cavite, also sustained injuries.
According to the incident report, the victim was crossing the road around 10 p.m. in front of Sta. Ana Hospital.
Investigation disclosed that the suspect was speeding along westbound lane of New Panaderos, Sta. Ana, when it hit the victim who was then crossing northward direction.
The strong impact threw the rider together with his passenger and the pedestrian on the cemented pavement.
The victim sustained severe head injuries that caused his instantaneous death, while the rider and passenger were rushed to Sta. Ana Hospital for medical treatment.
Police said the suspect may face homicide charges.
