Notorious robber shot dead in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A 20-year-old man tagged as a notorious robber was found dead in Purok Arao, Barangay Vista Alegre here on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The victim was identified as Joshua of Barangay 16, this city.

Police Capt. Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 7, said the body of the victim was found in a vacant lot at around 2:30 a.m. after he visited his parents in Barangay Vista Alegre.

The victim sustained bullets wounds and recovered nearby were two sacks with live fighting cocks and electrical wire.

Santillan said the victim faced theft and robbery cases. Some cases did not prosper because these were not officially reported to the police, he added.

Police are looking into revenge as a motive of the crime.
