Zamboanga City aids ‘Kristine’ victims in Bicol


ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city government sent water and medicines to victims of severe tropical storm “Kristine” in Bicol on Thursday, Oct. 31.

It sent  8,000 five-gallon Jerry cans filled with clean water and 1,000 boxes of doxycycline to help prevent the spread of water-borne diseases in affected areas. These donations were transported in a Philippine Navy boat.

Mayor John Dalipe sympathized with victims of Kristine and vowed support to recovery efforts in affected areas and residents. 

“We stand with the people of Bicol during this challenging time as we commit to support their recovery and resilience-building efforts,” Dalipe said in a statement.
