P3.4-M shabu recovered on All Saints’ Day from e-bike driver, laborer


BACOLOD CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested and shabu valued at P3.4 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 10 here on All Saints’ Day.

Police identified the suspects as John, 29, e-bike driver, and Ellan, 36, construction worker, both residents of Barangay 10.

Police Lt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr., CDEU head, said that the suspects were tagged as high-value individuals due to the volume of recovered shabu.

Benitez said that the suspects were monitored for a month before the operation was conducted.

John was previously arrested for a drug offense and was later released through a plea bargaining agreement.

Benitez said that John will be charged for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs while Ellan will face a conspiracy case. The suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
