Over 6,088 Malabueños have already visited public and private cemeteries in the city in observance of All Saints’ Day.

According to the data from the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), as of 12 p.m., Tugatog Public Cemetery has the highest number of visitors, with 2,040 individuals.

The MDRRMO said that the situation in all cemeteries is "generally peaceful” and continuous monitoring at different areas in the city is being conducted to ensure peace and order.

“Inaasahan natin ang pagbisita ng nasa 30,000 na Malabueño sa mga pampubliko at pribadong sementeryo sa lungsod ngayong una at ikalawang mga araw ng Nobyembre. Kaya ating mas paiigtingin ang mga operasyon para sa kaayusan, kapayapaan, at kaligtasan sa lungsod. Noong October 30 palang ay nakapaghanda na tayo para sa Undas at nagtalaga ng higit 500 kawani ng pamahalaang lungsod sa mga sementeryo. Mayroon tayong mga help and medical assistance desk sa labas ng mga sementeryo at mga nakadeploy na LGU personnel sa iba’t ibang lugar na maaari ninyong lapitan kung kinakailangan ng tulong(We expect about 30,000 Malabueños to visit the public and private cemeteries in the city this first and second day of November. So we will intensify operations for order, peace, and safety in the city. As of October 30, we have already prepared for Undas and assigned more than 500 city government staff to the cemeteries. We have help and medical assistance desks outside the cemeteries and deployed LGU personnel in various places that you can approach if assistance is needed),” City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said.

Meanwhile, around 1,194 residents went to Everlasting Peace Cemetery and Our Lady of Lourdes Eternal Park, San Bartolome Parish Cemetery (820), Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Ossuary (594), Immaculate Concepcion Parish (294), La Purisima Concepcion (439), and Sto. Rosario Parish Columbaria (301), to offer prayers and light candles for their departed relatives.

The response teams deployed by the city government consist of LGU personnel, including city department heads and their alternates, emergency responders, health workers, and other personnel.

The medical and emergency response teams deployed outside the cemeteries were able to assist around 36 individuals who experienced dizziness and other common health concerns/injuries such as loss of consciousness, abrasion, and avulsion from October 30 to November 1.

The city government reminded residents to bring water, food, fans, towels, and umbrellas for protection from possible heavy rains, extreme heat, and common illnesses such as dizziness and hypertension.

The MDRRMO said approximately 2,700 individuals visited the burial sites on October 30, while around 1,300 residents came to the areas on October 31.
