‘She Leads: Fun Beyond Shopping’ will take place at SM MOA

As women continue to reshape the entrepreneurial landscape, the impact of female-led businesses is more evident than ever, spanning diverse sectors such as beauty, fashion, tech, and gaming. These entrepreneurs are not just economic participants; they drive innovation and set new standards for success.

From small start-ups to large-scale enterprises, the rise of women in business represents a powerful shift in the market, showcasing their resilience, creativity, and leadership. Women entrepreneurs are not only creating jobs and generating revenue; they are also inspiring others to pursue their dreams and contribute to their communities.

In efforts to celebrate female entrepreneurs, TikTok Shop and SM Supermalls launched "She Leads: Fun Beyond Shopping," a first-of-its-kind TikTok Shop mall pop-up in the Philippines, happening from November 15 to 17, 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium. The pop-up aims to recognize and empower female-owned and led businesses in the Philippines, particularly those who have succeeded offline and on TikTok Shop. 

In an interview with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Joaquin San Agustin, executive vice president for Marketing at SM Supermalls, said the initiative is designed to merge the power of online and offline shopping, empowering sellers and consumers.

”This is an exclusive partnership with TikTok Shop which will give the shoppers the best of online shopping and the electrifying atmosphere that the mall provides,” he says. “There will be pop-up stores where several activities will take place. Actually, live selling of various products from fashion to beauty will happen there.”

Through this event, shoppers will see the actual products from the pop-up stores, check out on TikTok, and receive discount vouchers for their next shopping trip in SM MOA. 

“We will bring the live sellers to the mall so they’re able to experience the electrifying atmosphere of Mall of Asia while selling online,” he adds. 
Meanwhile, Niks Fojas, partner solutions lead of TikTok Shop Philippines, hopes this partnership will inspire more women to turn their dream businesses into reality.

Some of the female entrepreneurs who will join the campaign include Rosenda Casaje, brand owner and CEO of the beauty and wellness brand Gorgeous Glow Philippines. Content creator and the woman behind nipple cover brand Tapies, Rei Germar, will also join. Lastly is Ashley Yap of Sip2Glow. Sip2Glow is a ready-to-sip collagen drink made with Korean Collagen Tripeptide.
