Partido Federal-United Bangsamoro bets in Lanao del Sur file COCs


MARAWI CITY – Candidates of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas-United Bangsamoro Justice Party in Lanao del Sur filed their Certificates of Candidacy on Tuesday, October 8.

The party was led by Roland Abdul Rashid A. Macarambon for governor.

Other candidates are Marjanie Macasalong for vice governor, Rehan Balt Lao for second district congressman, and lawyer Faisal Tago for provincial board member.

Commission on Elections-Provincial Election Supervisor Ellis Miguel said there are three other candidates for governor – incumbent Gov. Mamintal Adiong Jr. of Lakas-CMD, Norhaida Adiong of the Workers and Peasant Party (WPP), and Dimapundag Macapundag, an independent.

Two others are running for vice governor: Incumbent Vice Gov. Mohammad Khalid Adiong, Lakas-CMD; and Mansani Mimbalawag, People's Party.

Lanao del Norte

First district Rep. Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo filed his COC for Lanao del Norte governor on October 8.

Khalid seeks to succeed his mother, Gov. Imelda "Angging" Dimaporo who is on her third final term.

Gov. Dimaporo filed a COC for his son’s congressional post.  

Her daughter, second district Rep. Sittie Aminah Dimaporo is seeking reelection.

Iligan City

Reelectionist Iligan City Rep. Celso G. Regencia of the United Iligan Party Coalition filed his COC along with mayoral candidate retired Lt. Col. Leony Roy Ga, running mate Ernest Oliver "Wekwek" Uy, and candidates for city council.

Also running for congressman are Graciano Mejares, Oscar Badelles, Manny Salibay, and Seigred Espina.

Others candidates for mayor are reelectionist Frederick W. Siao, Rolando Anduyan, and Franklin Quijano.

For vice mayor are Marianito Dodong Alemania and  Jemar Vera Cruz.

A total of 45 individuals are running for councilor.

The Comelec in these three areas said the COC filing was generally peaceful.
