According to MMC President and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, all key members of the council have complete trust on Remulla and his capabilities as they know that leading a progressive province like Cavite is no easy feat.

He added that as a former governor, Remulla will understand the feelings and sentiments of other mayors and local chief executives, thus gaining the council's complete support to all his future programs and initiatives.

Remulla took his oath of office before President Marcos Jr. as the new DILG secretary at the Malacañang Palace.

He replaced Benhur Abalos who will run for a senatorial seat in the upcoming 2025 elections under the administration's slate.

"His extensive and excellent work in local government administration has been met with acclaim, in the press, and by the people who have voted him nine times to office," Marcos said, adding that Remulla "fits the bill of a DILG  leader the nation needs today."

"But the best proof of his performance is not found in the glowing reports and great scorecards. It is visible on how he has made his beloved Cavite progressive, an economic powerhouse, to cite just one achievement," he added.
