He enumerated his key projects that are part of his vision for his third term. These include the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH) which will build thousands of public housing units within several high rise buildings, the Makabagong San Juan Multi-Level Sports Complex, the San Juan City Government Center, the San Juan City Crematorium and Columbarium, and the San Juan City Command Center with CCTV coverage of primary, secondary and tertiary roads.
Other major initiatives include the San Juan City Radio System for disaster and crime prevention, free Wi-Fi in key public places, illuminated cat's eyes on all bike lanes and the digitalization and computerization of city services including the Makabagong San Juan App.
"By 2028, I aim to complete all of these projects and leave behind a lasting legacy. The next three years are crucial for ensuring that San Juan continues its path towards sustaining its being a modern, progressive and inclusive city," Zamora said.
Model city
In the past five years, the city has received numerous recognitions and awards which include the Best Pandemic Response from the Galing Pook Awards, Best Digital Education Program during the time of Covid-19 from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Best Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Seal of Good Local Governance 2023 from the DILG.
The city’s innovative and efficient governance has also led to improved healthcare services at the San Juan Medical Center, which is now a Level 2 hospital, aiming to reach Level 3 status soon.
All public school students in San Juan have benefited from free rubber shoes, uniforms, gadgets and fiber optic internet connection in their homes. The city’s public schools are equipped with Wi-Fi, 55" smart TVs, and laptops for all teachers ensuring quality education for all.
"We have accomplished so much in these past five years, and I am committed to fulfilling every promise I have made to our people since 2019. By the end of my final term in 2028, I want San Juan to continue to stand as a model city—one that future leaders and communities can look up to as an inspiration," Zamora noted.
