Kapuso star Julie Anne San Jose has apologized in response to the backlash she received for her performance at a church in Occidental Mindoro.

During her performance at the church, Julie Anne emphasized that her sole purpose was to spread joy and offer support to the church through the proceeds from the benefit concert.

Julie Anne was bashed for her choice of songs and outfit when she performed inside a church. Netizens bashed her when she performed songs such as "Edge of Glory" by Lady Gaga, "Dancing Queen" by ABBA, and "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus in front of the altar.

Reports said that the song selection had the approval of the organizers. However, it did not sit well with the netizens who saw the video.
