Globe drops cheaper and better roaming offers for PH travelers

Travel is always a thrill. For some, staying connected during overseas getaways is a must. That’s why Globe is redefining the travel experience by launching an exciting portfolio of first-to-market data roaming offers overseas. 

Globe's GoRoam promo lets travelers enjoy uninterrupted data service in popular destinations at close-to-local SIM rates without the hassle of looking for a local SIM option or renting a bulky pocket WiFi device at their destination. The company also added new countries where roaming service would be available: Japan, Canada, Australia, and Vietnam.

Our new data roaming offers provide peace of mind and help you manage what you can’t control, so you can enjoy your trip to the fullest. With Globe, staying connected is one less thing to worry about,” said Paula Rivera-Castillo, head of Globe International Business.

For families and barkadas planning to go on cross-country trips together, Roam Surf4All offers the convenience of shareable data roaming. It allows up to five users to share data seamlessly without needing an additional device.

They may easily add or remove members, set data limits, and monitor usage via the GlobeOne app. In an interview with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Paula said this new offering is something barkadas and families will surely enjoy. Their data also shows that an increasing number of Filipino travelers now opt to avail of roaming services instead of buying sim cards abroad. 

Based on the current list of services on the GlobeOne app, travelers can enjoy data abroad for as low as P600, depending on the country of destination and the amount of data they need. 

On top of these new offers, Globe also rolled out advance booking. With the Advance Booking feature on the GlobeOne app, users can now book their preferred data roaming promos up to a year in advance. Upon arrival abroad, just switch on mobile data and data roaming, and the data pack will automatically activate.

Concerned about plan changes? No need to worry because this is totally risk-free. Users can easily cancel their booked promo if trip plans change. If the promo is not activated, postpaid customers will not be charged, and prepaid customers will receive a refund.
