Asked why he had a change of heart about joining politics, he said: "Awayan. Those who are educated think too low of artists. But we have good hearts for our citizens)."

I'm not a lawyer, I didn't finish my studies. However, the purpose of every senator and every public servant, whoever leads any local government, is you should have a good heart)," he added.

According to the celebrity, the issue of poverty has not been addressed for the past 21 years. He said that he has been hosting game shows that cater to the poor's needs.

"Batas ng mahihirap ang kailangan natin (A law for the poor is what we need)," he said.

But Revillame say that he would withdraw his Senate bid if he's no longer appearing in surveys.

If he gets elected, Revillame says that he intends to increase the 20 percent discount for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) to 30 percent.
