Seasoned TV host Valerie Tan is amazed that she has done nine seasons of her lifestyle and travel show "I Heart PH."  She is even happier that she has found a new home in GTV, a free-to-air channel owned by the GMA network. Unknown to many, Valerie started her career as a Kapuso 17 years ago.

"I Heart PH" offers viewers heartwarming stories, breathtaking destinations, and a celebration of Filipino culture that has earned a loyal following with audiences across the country. It airs every Sunday at 10 am on GTV and is also available on GMA's Youtube stream.

Valerie recalled how she broke into television by winning  QTV Channel 11's  talent reality search "May Trabaho Ka!"

"QTV was the former GTV. I was with GMA for several years, and then afterwards, 'I Heart PH' went to a different network and now it is back here at GTV.  I'm very happy to be back home and  hopefully work with my former colleagues again soon," she notes with excitement.

Of "I Heart PH," she comments: "I'm very, very proud of the show. You know, for so many years after the pandemic, we are still here. And the goal of the show is really to uplift the image of the Filipinos. And to really inspire the Filipinos. These days, there's just so many bad news all around. We just want kahit 30 minutes lang na meron tayong good vibes. Gusto namin ma-capture ang tibok ng pusong Pinoy. And gusto ko lang din ipagyabang that 'I Heart PH' is produced by TV8 Media. It is an award-winning production company. "

Valerie adds that the longevity of the show gives her goosebumps. "Kinikilabutan ako, to be honest. Kasi parang it's such a blessing, you know, especially in these modern times. Everything is fast-paced eh. Yung content ngayon, irrelevant na after three days, after four days. But, you know, what we can be proud of is that we know that we are churning out good quality content. Something that's entertaining, informative, and hopefully timeless."

Since the new season started last Sept. 22, the show has featured great travel destinations like Bohol and Taiwan. It  is also collaborating with noteworthy organizations like Habitat for Humanity to focus on a basic necessity that's important to Filipinos, and that's shelter. "I Heart PH"  will feature homes, giving viewers inspirations and motivations to build or improve their own homes. From do-it-yourself (DIY) furnishings to house repairs, Valerie and her co-host Rovilson Fernandez get to explore home ideas, interior designs and other topics. In the episodes, they will also invite architects, interior designers and other influencers to make the whole discussions more insightful and inspiring.

Vanessa Verzosa,  Business Unit Head of TV8 Media, expressed hopes that they will be able to inspire more viewers given the nationwide reach of the GMA network. "Our country is blessed with incredible natural resources and environment, and there are still more of these places that have never been featured in the mainstream media. What we want to do is to showcase them through our program,“ she pointed out.

TV8 Media is also the producer behind "Business Matters" by Pinky Webb and "Dear SV" by Sam Verzosa. But for "I Heart PH," they're careful not to delve into political and social issues. The show's director, Jallawee Beritan, explained: "We shall stick to our commitment to showcasing world-class visual narratives to our viewers that feed not only their senses but also their soul.”
