Filinvest opens new mall in Dumaguete

Gotianun-led Filinvest Land Inc. is expanding in the Visayas region with the recent opening of its new mall, Filinvest Malls Dumaguete.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, Filinvest said the new mall is situated at the Flores Avenue along the Dumaguete bay, and boasts of 3,759 square meters (sqm) of gross leasable area (GLA) for its shopping and dining partners.

The new mall is the company’s second mall in the Visayas region, with the first one being Il Corso in Cebu City offering 18,049 sqm of GLA.

Similar to Filinvest Malls Dumaguete, Il Corso is also situated against the backdrop of panoramic sea views.

“We are excited to become a part of Dumaguete’s rich culture and history and to contribute to its continued progress and development,” said Filinvest First Vice President and Retail Business Unit Head Mitch Dumlao. “Beyond creating a space where locals and visitors can come together as a community to enjoy shopping, dining, and leisure activities, we aim to boost tourism, create job opportunities, and support local businesses."

Filinvest said it is focused on increasing its presence in key provinces, providing modern retail centers, workspaces, and industrial hubs to drive economic growth and job creation.

Apart from Filinvest Malls Dumaguete and Il Corso, the company also owns and operates Festival Mall in Alabang and Fora Mall in Tagaytay.
