The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced the schedule for civil service examinations to be conducted through pen and paper tests (PPT) in 2025.
The Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) is set for Jan. 26, while the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) will be held on June 1.
The CSE Professional and Sub-professional exams will be held twice—on March 2 and Aug. 10.
Except for the CSE-FSO, CSC said it will issue separate examination announcements three weeks before the start of each application period.
These announcements will include essential details such as testing centers, qualification and admission requirements, application documentation requirements, instructions for obtaining and submitting application forms, the scope of the examination, passing grades, and resulting civil service eligibility.
For the March 2 CSE Professional and Sub-professional exams, the application period will run from Nov. 19 2024 to Jan. 3, 2025.
For the Aug. 10 exam, applications will be accepted from May 12 2025 to June 11, 2025.
Meanwhile, the application period for the BCLTE will be from March 3, 2025 to April 2, 2025.
CSC said all examination announcements will be officially posted on its website.
CSC Regional Offices and Field Offices may also issue supplemental announcements or advisories tailored to specific details and concerns regarding the conduct of the exams.
For the CSE-FSO, the announcement has already been released by the Department of Foreign Affairs-Bureau of Foreign Service Examinations (DFA-BFSE).
Interested candidates can visit the DFA website or contact the BFSE at (02) 8834-3080. The announcement is also accessible through the CSC website.
