Isko to file COC for Manila mayor on October 8

Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso has finally confirmed his mayoralty run in Manila on Monday night, October 7.

Domagoso announced on his Facebook post that he will file his certificate of candidacy (COC) on October 8 at 8:30 a.m. with his running mate Chi Atienza, the daughter of former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza.

"Ito'y bilang pagtugon sa matinding panawagan ng mga Manileño na muli niyang pamunuan ang kapitolyo ng Pilipinas (This is in response to the strong call of the Manileños that he once again lead the capital of the Philippines)," the caption read.

The former mayor served as the city's local chief executive from 2019 to 2022 and ran but lost in the 2022 presidential elections.
