Elevator installer shot dead in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A 47-year-old elevator installer was gunned down near his house in Purok Masayahin, Barangay Ibabang Talim, this city, on Sunday night, October 6.

Police said the victim, Roderick Rodriguez Hicayo, married, was walking on a pathway towards the Eco-Tourism Road when he was shot by three armed men with a companion acting as a lookout.

Hicayo sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

The suspects escaped onboard two motorcycles toward Sariaya, Quezon.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation and backtracking surveillance footages in the area.
