“May nakarating po muli sa ating ulat na ginagamit ang aking larawan at pangalan sa mga fake Facebook accounts at fake pages, kung saan ang modus ay pagpapadala ng mga mensahe upang manghingi ng personal at sensitibong detalye (We have received reports once again that my photo and name are being used in fake Facebook accounts and pages, where the scheme involves sending messages to solicit personal and sensitive information),” Ynares said.

The fake account is named “Nina A. Ynares” and sends messages urging people to provide their numbers for supposed registration on her platform as a way to thank them for their support.

She reminded everyone to be cautious of this scheme, which aims only to victimize people.

The governor encouraged Rizalenyos to report any encounters with other fake accounts using her photo and name to her official account, “Nina Ynares,” which has over 312,000 followers.

Ynares posts all official announcements, programs, and other information that concerns Rizalenyos on her social media account.

She advised them not to entertain or send any personal details, such as OTP codes, PINs, or passwords to anyone.

“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat, lalo na sa panahon ngayon na talamak ang scamming at hacking sa internet (Let’s all be careful, especially now that scamming and hacking are rampant on the internet),” she stated.
