Mayor Wes Gatchalian seeks reelection in 2025 midterm polls

Incumbent Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for a second term as Valenzuela City mayor on Sunday, October 6 at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) located inside Alert Multipurpose Hall, Valenzuela City.

Gatchalian was accompanied by his wife and family.

The city mayor started the day with a thanksgiving mass with Tuloy ang Progreso Team.

Gatchalian’s running mate is Marlon “Idol Alejandrino.

The team’s candidates were Kenneth Gatchalian for Congressman of District 1, Dra. Katherine Martinez for Congresswoman of District 2.

His running mates for councilors of District 1 were Coun. Bimbo Dela Cruz, Coun. Ghogo Deato Lee, Coun. Cris Feliciano, Atty. Richard Enriquez, Kagawad Kisha Ancheta, Former SK Fed. President Goyong Serrano.

District 2 councilors were incumbent Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Coun. Chiqui Carreon, Coun. Louie Nolasco, Coun. Niña Lopez, Coun. Sel Sabino-Sy, Coun. Mickey Pineda.

“Maraming salamat sa inyong tiwala na nagsilbing lakas at inspirasyon ko na ipagpatuloy ang progresong tinatamasa ng ating lungsod (Thank you very much for your trust which served as my strength and inspiration to continue the progress our city is enjoying),” Gatchalian said.

“Samahan ninyo akong muli at ang #TeamTuloyAngProgreso sa bagong yugto at direksyon na ating tatahakin para sa ating minamahal na Lungsod ng Valenzuela! (Join me and the #TeamTuloyAngProgreso again in the new phase and direction we will take for our beloved City of Valenzuela),” he added.
