88 couples wed in Parañaque's 'Kasalang Bayan'

A total of 88 couples tied the knot during Parañaque's “Kasalang Bayan” held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex on Thursday, October 3.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez served as the marriage officiant and was joined by his brotther Rep. Edwin Olivarez.

Olivarez said the mass wedding was his birthday gift to couples living together without the benefit of marriage and wanted to legalize their union but couldn't afford it.  

The mayor, who celebrated his birthday on October 4, told the couples to place God at the center of their union and to respect each other.

He also advised them to live happily and to take good care of each other and their families.
