Stray Kids postpones Taiwan concert due to Typhoon 'Kong-rey'

K-pop boy band Stray Kids postponed their concert in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan due to Typhoon “Kong-rey” (known as Super Typhoon “Leon” in the Philippines).

Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a typhoon sea and land warning on Oct. 31.

Stray Kids originally set their “dominATE” world tour at Kaohsiung National Stadium on Nov. 2. It was moved to Nov. 3. .

“Unfortunately, due to disruptions caused by Typhoon Kong-Rey, a ‘Typhoon Day (31 Oct)’ has been declared. We regret to announce 'Stray Kids World Tour ' scheduled for November 2nd, 2024 at Kaohsiung National Stadium has been postponed to 6PM on 3 November, 2024,” according to an announcement posted on Stray Kids’ social media channels on Oct. 30.

It added, “After many discussions and evaluations regarding concerns about stage setup and the safety of our audience, we unfortunately had to make this decision. Please kindly understand that we are currently planning to implement the best measures to ensure the safe travel and performance of the members.”
