Netflix released the official teaser, poster and stills for the highly-anticipated “Squid Game” season 2 that will premiere on Dec. 26.
“Squid Game,” originally released in September 2021, became Netflix’s biggest title, recording 2.2 billion hours viewed or 265.2 million views in its first 91 days on the streaming platform.
Season 2 of “Squid Game” marks the return of Lee Jung-jae as Gi-hun, who vows revenge and returns to participate in the deadly children’s games.

It is also about the fierce confrontation between Gi-hun and the Frontman played by Lee Byung-hun.
The new season also features new cast members Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook, T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun), Roh Jae-won, Won Ji-an, Im Siwan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun.
The teaser trailer shows Gi-hun wearing a green training suit and participating as player No. 456.
It began with the participants having their pictures taken before a game. Unlike season 1 where voting was only conducted after the end of the first game, a new rule was announced where a vote was held at the end of each game to decide whether to continue the game.
Then the “Red Light Green Light” game starts, bringing joy for a moment but claiming its first victim.
Gi-hun warned the other participants, “Don’t do this to yourselves. Just focus on getting out of this place. I've played these games before! If we don't stop this, they'll kill us all.”
The faces of the participants were also shown, including Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan) who appeared as Gi-hun’s friend in season 1, Im Si-wan, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yu-ri and T.O.P..
