OPM icon Ice Seguerra is set to repeat his successful concert, 'Ice Seguerra Videoke Hits OPM Edition Isa Pa!', at the Music Museum in Greenhills on Nov. 8.

During a media conference at the Fire and Ice office in Quezon City recently, Ice revealed he had difficulty trimming down the playlist for the show.

"Nahirapan akong gumawa ng lineup for this one.

Sabi ko, 'Oh my God! Paano ko ito iti-trim down? Ang nangyari ang daming medley. Hindi puwedeng hindi ko siya makanta. Yung una kasi ang daming medley.

"Ang ginawa kong pang-narrow down sa kanya is yung first segment is yung mga songs na kinakanta ko sa videoke. Mga paborito ko like Martin, Gary V, Ogie, Joey Albert, Ella Mae.

"Next is Jam with Ice and by-request. Under by-request, ito yung fan favorites. Magbobotohan sila. Kung ano yung top three songs, kakantahin namin on the spot.

"It's a smorgasbord of songs. May Bikining Itim, Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig, that we arranged in different ways. Halo-halo siya. Meron din kaming BINI and SB19. As much as possible, malawak yung mga taon and genre," Ice said.

Ice mentioned that while the show may appear simple, putting together a videoke show is actually very challenging. "It's a challenging show for me. It looks easy dahil iba-iba ang genre pero mahirap."

Challenging songs

Ice didn't anticipate that the song "Salamin, Salamin" by BINI would be a difficult task.

Wala namang asthma attacks. Lagi ko naman dala yung gamot ko," he said.

Ice stated that the videoke concert is designed to be an interactive show where everyone in the audience can participate.

"We made them feel na part sila ng concert. Hindi lang sila manonood kundi included sila sa big part of the show.

So happy kami because you see the audience with different age brackets during the show.

"May mga seniors tayo and siguro the youngest na nakita ko is 7 or 8 years old.

I want them to feel it's okay to sing. Whether wala kayo sa tono, okay lang yan. Hindi naman ito contest. Let's enjoy it," Ice said.

He thanked Liza for creating the concept of the show. "Si Liza talaga ang naka-isip ng concept na ito with the big element of the audience."

Enjoying videoke

Ice mentioned that singing serves as a form of therapy for him.

"Mahilig talaga ako kumanta. Kahit nagda-drive ako kumakanta ako," he said.

On his advice to enjoy the videoke, Ice said: "Sing a song within your range. Even my doctor told me that you should sing within your range. Sa akin puwede ng The Carpenters."

Ice also revealed his playlist these days.

Bumalik ako sa OPM ballads like songs of Basil Valdez at Rachel Alejandro, andun silang lahat. Pansanay din."

For the repeat of his videoke show, the special guests will be Angel of Drag Race Philippines, Luis, our new artist, and Ebe Dancel. "May mga celebrities sa audience."

Birthday concert

In September, Ice celebrated his 41st birthday with a full-packed videoke concert. He said he was impressed with the turnout of people attending the show.

Music Museum is a small venue.

"As an artist, you have to give your 110 percent.

Birthday gift

Ice expressed his gratitude to his wife, Liza, for giving him a motorbike on his birthday, sharing that owning a motorbike had been a childhood dream. Ice shared a funny experience he had while riding a motorbike for the first time.
