Man arrested after stabbing brother-in-law in Manila

A man was arrested after he attacked and repeatedly stabbed his brother-in-law in Sta. Ana, Manila, on Tuesday, October 29.

The Manila Police District identified the suspect as Gian Castro, 40, and the victim Rommel Manas, 42, residents of Barangay 779, Sta. Ana, Manila.

Based on the initial investigation, the incident happened on Monday afternoon, October 28.

Police said the suspect was carrying a bladed weapon when he run towards the victim and stabbed him.

The victim sustained wounds on his face and lower leg.

Investigators said the two had a longstanding grudge against each other.

Police said the suspect is under their custody and may face murder charges.
