The Las Piñas City government announced that it will implement a rerouting scheme to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in November.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) will implement road closures to ensure smooth traffic flow for visitors going to cemeteries in the city to visit their loved ones.
Aguilar said more traffic enforcers will be deployed with the assistance of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to assist motorists in going to cemeteries.
The mayor said policemen will establish a Police Assistance Desk in all cemeteries located in the city and conduct regular patrolling utilizing the Coalition of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Group, barangay watchmen, and force multipliers inside and out of the public and private cemeteries, including columbarium.
TPMO head Joe Gonzalez said that the road under the overpass south bound will be closed while the north bound will be open at the Diego Cerra junction.
He added that Tramo will be one-way northbound while Naga Road connecting to Diego Cerra and Tramo will be closed.
He said the U-Turn slot for southbound going to Zapote will be at the back of Bernabe Compound, and the U-Turn slot for northbound going to Sucat, Paranaque, will be at Jollibee in the C-5 Extension.
The TPMO chief added that the Mapayapa Village exit will be used as an exit from Golden Haven Memorial Park.
