Dutertes will fight back, says Guanzon

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon is expecting the Duterte family to fight back given what has been happening to former president Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte.

"The Dutertes' backs are against the wall so they will fight," Guanzon wrote in an X post on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Ex-president Duterte is the subject of investigations in aid of legislation by both the House of Representatives and the Senate in connection with his bloody war on drugs.

On the other hand, Vice President Duterte is being probed by the House on her alleged misuse of confidential and intelligence funds (CIFs) under the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and Department of Education (DepEd).

"Impeachment complaint versus VP Sara is sure to happen...And if impeachment is not likely to prosper in the Senate, BBM's (Bongbong Marcos) cohorts will file a Plunder case," Guanzon opined in separate posts.

As for the elder Duterte's appearance last Monday, Oct. 28 as a resource person of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, Guanzon interpreted it as advantageous to the cause of the former first family.

"Digong turned the table on the senators and the public. Kaya pala Bato invited him as planned. Kung minsan si Bato may laman din ang ulo," she said.

(So that's why Bato invited him as planned. Sometimes Bato has brains.)
