Robinsons sets P10-billion hotel business expansion

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), a business unit of Robinsons Land Corporation, is set to invest P10 billion to significantly expand its upscale and ultra-luxury portfolio over the next few years.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Robinsons Land said this strategic investment will add over 990 room keys to its portfolio.

This includes the launch of the lifestyle brand Grand Summit in key locations such as Cebu and Pangasinan and the highly anticipated Fili, the first and only Filipino-owned five-star hotel brand, in Bridgetowne, Quezon City.

“These developments will not only solidify Robinsons Hotels and Resorts' position as a leader in the hospitality sector but also elevate its standing among globally recognized brands catering to a wide range of market segments,” the firm claimed.

It added that, “The P10 billion investment is poised to drive long-term growth, enhance guest experiences, and position RHR as a key player in the country's thriving tourism and real estate sectors.”

With 30 properties in 20 cities and municipalities nationwide, RHR is one of the largest and most diversified hotel group in the Philippines.

“Our growth is closely aligned with the Gokongwei Group's commitment to offering the best hospitality options across all travel segments. We are dedicated to delivering elevated luxury and branded stay experiences across the country,” said RHR General Manager Barun Jolly.

He said “Fili is a heartfelt project that celebrates Filipino hospitality while setting a new standard in international luxury.” The upcoming Fili Hotel in Bridgetowne will soon rise alongside the Opus Mall.

Grand Summit is a lifestyle brand that blends local culture with art and design to provide a unique, unpretentious luxury experience.

Grand Summit Gensan, which opened in 2021, offers a deep connection with the local culture while providing an elevated hotel experience.

Two additional Grand Summit properties are set to open in Cebu and Pangasinan, with Grand Summit Cebu completing the NUSTAR Resort complex and Grand Summit Pangasinan bringing upscale hospitality to the region alongside the expansive Robinsons mall.
