Aside from Pasig, the municipality of Sta. Catalina in Ilocos Sur and the Tacloban City government also received the mobile laboratories.
Mayor Vico Sotto expressed his gratitude to the President and First Lady for bringing the program to the city.
“Nung nabalitaan namin na magkakaroon ng LAB for All dito sa lungsod ng Pasig sa ilalim ng opisina ng ating butihing First Lady, kami po ay lubos na natuwa at na-excite po, at alam ko, I don't only speak for myself but for all of the Pasigueños here at sa lahat ng mga Pasigueño na matutulungan po sa araw na ito (When we heard that there will be a LAB for All here in the city under the office of our First Lady, we were truly delighted and excited. I know that I don't only speak for myself but also for all Pasigueños here and for all the Pasigueños who will be helped today),” Sotto stated.
Sotto also said he was delighted, noting that it was the first time the President personally attended the caravan.
“Higit sa lahat, nagagalak po tayo hindi lang po sa tulong kundi sa presensya ng ating mahal na Pangulo at First Lady dahil nabalitaan po namin na sa dami na rin po ng programa ng LAB for All ay first time raw po na kasama si Pangulo mismo. Maraming-maraming salamat po (Above all, we are delighted not only for the assistance but also for the presence of our beloved President and First Lady because we have heard that, despite the many programs of LAB for All, this is the first time that the President himself is joining),” he said.
The LAB for ALL is a flagship outreach program that offers an array of services such as free consultations, free medicines, and basic laboratory tests done in the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics.
According to the Presidential Communications Office, from May 2023 to June 26 this year, the caravan visited 29 locations nationwide.
It added that the national government procured Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics for deployment in every province and city in the National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila, aiming to reach more patients in remote and underserved areas.
