MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Police rescued a Korean kidnapped on Thursday, Oct. 24, in Barangay Mabiga here and arrested three suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate in a follow-up operation in this city on Friday, Oct. 25.
Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) chief Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan identified the victim as Mr. Park, 57, of Angeles City, Pampanga.

Maranan said Park was abducted by three armed men when the victim and his brother arrived on Camachile St. for a car transaction.
Park was taken to a black Kia Carnival with conduction number AP338A.
The suspects sent a photograph to Park’s brother of him tied up and blindfolded via Telegram with a ransom demand. The suspects abandoned the victim in Nueva Ecija.
The victim managed to contact his family and his brother reported the incident to the police which mounted a pursuit operation.
The intelligence unit of the Mabalacat City Police Station, with the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit, apprehended the suspects identified as Paula Bianca Julian and Renan Coronel of this city and John Jacob Simbulan of Capas.
The suspects during interrogation revealed the identity of the alleged mastermind, Tweenie Salas, of Angeles City, Pampanga, and their cohorts John Lex Ubane and Herson Barroga from Mabalacat City who are all at-large.
Investigation also revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in robbery and carnapping and kidnapping of two Koreans – Mr. Nam and Miss Moon. The victims were released after P800,000 ransom was paid.
Maranan commended the swift response of operating teams.
