BURDEOS, Quezon – A fisherman was killed in a suspected dynamite explosion while fishing in the sea of this town on Monday morning, Oct. 28.

Police identified the victim as Mario Macagaling.
Investigation said a fellow fisherman, Richard Legaspi, heard an explosion from where the victim was fishing.
Legaspi looked towards the area where the explosion was heard and saw a damaged banca. He reported the incident to the police.
Fishermen located the victim’s body underwater with wounds in his chest, face, and legs, and amputated right arm and left thumb.
Macagaling's body was retrieved and taken to shore.
