Police Capt. Michael Joe Dasalla, Tayum chief of police, identified the victim as Florida A. Teneza, 39.

Dasalla said the suspect, Bobby Briosos, a former security guard from Barangay Mudiit, Dolores running for councilor in the municipality under the Asenso political party, barged into the victim’s house and shot her several times. Teneza died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.

Briosos fled and police arrested the suspect in his house in a follow-up operation.

The suspect was positively identified by the victim’s sibling, who is also deaf-mute, in a police photo presentation.

Dasalla said that jealousy might be the motive of the incident. The suspect is under police custody and faces  a murder case.
