Mario Aranzado was apprehended by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) with more than a kilo of shabu.
A .38 caliber revolver was also recovered from the suspect.
Police Lt. Col. Joemar Pomarejos, BPPO PIU chief, said Aranzado was arrested in 2015 also for illegal drugs but was cleared of the charges.
The suspect returned to selling illegal drugs after he was released from jail, said Pomarejos.
Pomarejos said Aranzado was caught after he was identified as the source of 50 grams of shabu seized from another drug suspect who was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Barangay Bayabas, Maribojoc, Bohol.
Pomarejos said Aranzado was capable of selling one to two kilos of shabu a week.
Investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect’s cohorts in the illegal drugs trade.
