Israel offers sympathy to Filipinos after 'Kristine' onslaught
Israel said it stands in solidarity with the Philippines following the devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm "Kristine" to the country.
The Israeli Embassy in Manila on Monday, Oct. 28, in a statement offered its deepest sympathies to the families who have lost their loved ones as the death toll rose to over 110.
It also offered its prayers for the injured.
"In these difficult times, we pray for the strength and resilience as you rise from the aftermath of the typhoon," the embassy said.
"To our Filipino friends, we stand with you in spirit and prayer as you navigate through this challenging time," it added.
"Kristine," the deadliest storm to hit the country so far this year according to the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), inundated parts of Luzon, especially in the south, drowning tens of individuals and inducing landslides that also caused deaths of others.
