The Southern Police District (SPD), headed by Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang, announced that 78 wanted persons were arrested in a week.
SPD covers the cities of Taguig, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Pasay and Makati, and the municipality of Pateros.
During the conduct of SPD’s warrant operations from Oct. 19 to 25, police units arrested 11 top most wanted persons, 29 most wanted persons, and 38 other wanted persons.

One of those arrested was Lamberto, 50, listed as the No. 5 most wanted person in Taguig. He was arrested at his residence in Barangay Pinagsama.
Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15 issued a warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P80,000 against Lamberto, who is facing a case for acts of lasciviousness and violation of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
In Parañaque, Kieno, 24 and the No. 9 most wanted person in the SPD, was arrested on Oct. 21 at his home in Barangay San Antonio for robbery by the Parañaque Police Warrant and Subpoena Section. The warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P100,000 was issued by Presiding Judge Ma. Christine De Pio Lim of the Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 296.
In Makati, the SPD apprehended Mae, a 42-year-old female ranked as the No. 5 most wanted person, on Oct. 21 for estafa on Malugay Street, Barangay San Antonio. Mae was arrested under a warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P120,000 issued by Presiding Judge Cesar Laganon of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 60.
