Package of suspected marijuana washes ashore in Cagayan

CAMP TIRSO GADOR, Tuguegarao City – A worker discovered a package of suspected marijuana on the shore of Barangay Bulala Norte, Aparri, Cagayan on Saturday, Oct. 27.

A PACKAGE of suspected marijuana washes ashore in Aparri, Cagayan.

“Balong,” a 62-year-old resident, uncovered the suspicious package wrapped in transparent tape and measured approximately 8 by 11 inches and two inches thick.

He immediately alerted a barangay official who coordinated with the barangay chairman to inform the Aparri Police Station.

The contraband, partially unsealed, was handled and secured by barangay officials before turn over to the police.

The item will be given to the PDEA Regional Office-2 here for further evaluation.

The exact weight and quantity of the alleged marijuana will be disclosed to the public following results from the PDEA.
