Authorities arrested a suspect listed in the drug watchlist after yielding more than P30 million worth of suspected shabu and cocaine in Taguig.
The suspect, alias Jhovel, 34, was listed by authorities as a high value individual (HVI) in the watchlist.
According to police, the suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Western Bicutan conducted by the District Drug Enforcement Unit-Southern Police District (DDEU-SPD) together with the District Intelligence Division (DID-SPD), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB-SPD), Taguig Police Substation 2, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Southern District Office (PDEA SDO), and the Southern District Highway Patrol Unit.

Confiscated in the operation were 4.5 kilos of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P30.6 million and 6.9 grams of suspected cocaine valued at P36,570.
“This operation highlights our commitment to maintaining safe, drug-free communities. The dedication and teamwork of our law enforcement units are crucial in dismantling illegal drug networks. We will continue these efforts to protect our neighborhoods from the threat of dangerous drugs,” said SPD chief Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
