Bolden immediately broke the ice and scored on a header off a nice feed from debuting Jane DeFazio with only two minutes gone by into the contest as the Filipinas dictated the tempo of the match the rest of the way.

Relentless on their attacks, the Filipinas kept the pressure on the Jordanians as DeFazio once again linked up with Bolden, who got pulled down by Ayah Al-Majali, inside the box.

Bolden was rewarded with a penalty kick which she coolly converted to complete her brace and give her team a commanding 2-0 lead at the 68th minute mark.

Jordan actually had the chance to get on the board and equalize early on when Sara Eggesvik’s handball led to a penalty kick for Jordan at the 57th minute.

Good thing PH’s goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel was rock-solid on her defense, saving Al-Majali’s spot kick to keep the Filipinas' clean sheet.

Katrina Guillou, then, put on the finishing touches for the world No. 39 Filipinas, scoring on a penalty after Quinley Quezada was fouled at the 77th mark.

The victory marked the Filipinas’ first win over ranked 74 Jordan since 2018 when a late Bolden goal gave PH a 2-1 victory in the AFC Women’s Asia Cup. The match was also the Filipinas’ first taste of action since the pair of friendlies against South Korea in April.

The Filipinas return to action against Kenya on Oct. 30 at the same venue.
