The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is inviting volunteers to assist in the production of food packs for families affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City.

Leo Quintilla, DSWD's Special Assistant to the Secretary for Disaster Response and Management, said volunteers can go to the NROC on Chapel Road in Barangay 195, Pasay, where staff will assist volunteer groups.

DSWD said interested individuals or groups can coordinate with Shara Lee or Kevin Sanchez at 0995-400-5548 or 0926-061-2646, available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes and to bring their own bottled water and packed meals.

A 30-minute orientation will be held before deployment to ensure volunteer safety at the repacking center.

“DSWD operations are ongoing, and we welcome anyone interested in volunteering at our repacking centers. Please visit our National Resource Operations Center," Quintilla said.
