A water service interruption is currently affecting Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after one of the major pipes sustained a one-meter crack following the resumption of water service after scheduled maintenance at Maynilad’s Pasay plant.
In a statement, the New NAIA Infra Corp (NNIC) said it has already deployed water tankers to ensure a steady supply to Terminal 1 while the damaged section of the pipe is being replaced.
“Our teams are working to replace the damaged pipe as quickly as possible. In the meantime, water tankers are providing water for restrooms and other essential areas," the NNIC statement read.
":We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this time,” it added.
