Sandoval personally visited several evacuation centers, including Longos Elementary School, Tinajeros Elementary School, Tonsuya Elementary School, and Potrero Covered Court, to assess the situation and distribute family food packs and hot meals.

"Mayroon na naman po kinakaharap na bagyo hindi lang ang mga lungsod sa Metro Manila, kasama ang Malabon. Kahit na malakas ang ulan dito sa lungsod ay handa tayo na tumulong sa mga Malabueño, lalo na ang mga mangangailangang lumikas mula sa kanilang mga bahay. Handa tayo hindi lang habang may bagyo, kundi maging pagkatapos nito. Bukas ang ating tanggapan anumang oras. Sabay-sabay tayong aahon mula sa epekto ng kahit anong kalamidad (We are facing another storm, affecting not just the cities in Metro Manila but also Malabon. Even with heavy rains here in the city, we are ready to assist our Malabueños, especially those who may need to evacuate their homes. We are prepared not just during the storm but also after it passes. Our office is open at any time. Together, we will rise from the effects of any disaster),” she said.

The city government provided food packs including rice, canned goods, coffee, biscuits, and cup noodles as the initial relief to the families.

Meanwhile, the Malabon Emergency Response Team held a pre-Disaster Risk Assessment meeting in preparation for the heavy downpour and potential flooding caused by STS Kristine.

The Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said that 101 families or 405 individuals sheltered in 10 evacuation centers in the city.

Additionally, the Command Control and Communication Center will continue to monitor affected areas and rivers to respond promptly to emergencies.

The city government also deployed two “Libreng Sakay” vehicles to assist stranded passengers.

Sandoval assured flood-affected residents that the city government would continue to provide relief goods and continually conduct operations to mitigate the effects of the typhoon.

"Ang palagi po naming paalala ay ang ibayong pag-iingat ng lahat tuwing may kalamidad. Makipag-ugnayan sa ating lokal na pamahalaan kung kinakailangan at siguradong may tulong na darating lalong madaling panahon (Our constant reminder is for everyone to exercise extreme caution during disasters. Please reach out to our local government if needed, and you can be assured that assistance will arrive as soon as possible),” she said.
