Families were evacuated from flooded areas in Muntinlupa as Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” dumped heavy rains on Oct. 24.
The Muntinlupa City government sent personnel to rescue families in Sikatville and Villa Carolina Subdivision in Barangay Tunasan.
The Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police Search and Rescue, Maritime and Bureau of Fire Protection also sent flexi trucks and additional personnel to Muntinlupa to help in the rescue operations.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited evacuation centers in the city, including the Poblacion Evacuation Center, where the families are staying.
He said additional families from the Laguna Lake area arrived at the Poblacion Evacuation Center.
The Tunasan-San Pedro, Laguna river overflowed causing flooding along the National Road, he added.
