Quality healthcare for all: Las Piñas LGU holds weekly health caravan to serve communities

The Las Piñas City government is now conducting a weekly health and wellness caravan to reach and serve all the communities in the city to ensure that residents will be given proper medical services, especially the senior citizens.

Vice Mayor April Aguilar said the caravan aims to offer a range of free health services and to bring much-needed medical care directly to all residents, reinforcing the Aguilar family’s commitment to public health and service.

The City Health Office (CHO), headed by Dr. Julie Gonzalez, explained the importance of making healthcare services more accessible to the people, saying that the caravan not only ensures that health services reach the community but also raises awareness of the various programs available at local health facilities.

She said through these efforts, more residents will be able to avail of the city’s healthcare resources.

According to her, the caravan provided a wide array of services, including medical consultations, FBS/RBS testing, cholesterol examinations, blood typing, chest X-rays, dental services, ECG, and nutrition and counseling services.

She added that senior citizens received pneumococcal vaccinations, and medicines were given to those in need.

The caravan also facilitates PhilHealth registration, greencard assistance, and non-communicable disease risk assessments.

The health and wellness caravan continues to be an essential platform in the city's efforts to provide accessible healthcare to all residents, especially in underserved areas.

Through the leadership of Vice Mayor Aguilar and the active involvement of the local government, the program ensures that no community is left behind in receiving quality care.
